

What We've Been Up To: Daely Presents: Sweat & Sip – A Revitalizing Wellness Experience in Ottawa - Hosted by Alonzo Addae
On Sunday, August 18, the vibrant city of Ottawa was the backdrop for the highly anticipated Daely Sweat and Sip event, hosted at The Mat Lab Glebe on Bank Street, right in the heart of the city. This unique experience brought together the best elements of yoga and Pilates, promising participants a comprehensive workout that enhanced both physical fitness and emotional well-being.
Attendees had the opportunity to immerse themselves in expertly led sessions tailored to their chosen practice, whether it was yoga or Pilates. With classes limited to 20 participants each, individuals received personalized attention to elevate their movement and wellness journey. The event's schedule was thoughtfully arranged to ensure a seamless experience: Yoga class commenced at 12:30 PM, followed by Pilates at 1:30 PM. After the sessions, participants were invited to relax and mingle during the mixer from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
Throughout the afternoon, guests enjoyed the added benefit of refreshing smoothies provided by wellness partners, perfectly crafted to support post-workout recovery. The event also featured an intimate mixer, allowing participants to unwind, connect, and share their experiences with like-minded individuals.
Hosted by Daely CEO Alonzo Addae, whose journey from collegiate athletics to professional sports inspired the creation of Daely, the event reflected his commitment to promoting a balanced lifestyle through yoga and Pilates. With group leaders Shannon Webster and Sara Wicks guiding the sessions, attendees experienced the benefits of enhanced performance and mental clarity, making for a transformative and enriching afternoon.
Participants were encouraged to arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before their selected class time to facilitate studio preparation, with the opportunity to return for the mixer regardless of the class they attended.
